The Ministry of Planning and Follow-up and Administrative Reform held an expanded meeting under the chairmanship of Prof. Dr. Ashraf Arab and Minister of Planning and Follow-up administrative reform to discuss the first draft of the Sustainable Development Strategy: Vision Egypt in 2030 before starting to put to community dialogue beginning of July 2015. The meeting was attended by Heads of strategic axes and representatives of the private and community sector Civil research centers and youth. During the meeting, the Minister stressed that this strategy has been prepared according to the method of participatory planning, where the private sector and civil society to play a pivotal role in the management of the process of preparation of the strategy, and to ensure compliance with the application and implementation of policies, programs and initiatives that will be adopted to achieve the objectives of the strategy and relevant performance indicators.
It is worth noting that the strategy preparation stages represented in three stages, the preparatory phase (January 2014 – March 2014) and during which the formation of a working group to develop a perception of an initial vision and strategic objectives, then the stage of the preparation of the main thrusts (April 2014- December 2014) and during which identify key vision trends, and put the main structure of the vision and the vision and the vision and the forest and objectives of awareness, then the third phase and the recent (February 2015 – June 2015) and during which determine the plans, programs and initiatives aimed at achieving the performance indicators for each the focus of the strategic axes and ensure the consistency of the connections and entanglements between the different axes.
